Who we are

ChiraYarnWorks (“we”, “us”) sells handmade crocheted and knitted toys online and at in-person events. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this site, why, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

• Account details — name and email address, if you register an account.
• Order & shipping details — shipping address, and the items and customizations in each order.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
• Reviews — anything you write in a product review, associated with your account.
• Essential cookies — used to keep you signed in and to remember your guest cart. See our cookie use below.

Why we collect it

We use your data to take and fulfil orders, provide customer support, verify your account, and moderate reviews before they go public. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary data with the following processors, solely to run the service:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we never see or store them.
• Our email provider — sending order confirmations, receipts, and account verification emails.
• Our hosting provider — running the site and storing the database that holds the information above.

How long we keep it

We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active, and for as long afterward as needed to meet our tax and accounting obligations. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove what we can and retain only what we’re legally required to keep, such as records of completed transactions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below — we don’t yet have a self-service export/delete tool, so these requests are handled manually for now.
